Mobility / vehicle fleet

We have expanded our vehicle fleet to include electric vehicles from the manufacturer Volkswagen, which qualify for support from the state of Baden-Württemberg with the BW-e voucher. By doing this, we help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector.

Our electric vehicles are charged with electricity from renewable sources. The company's own photovoltaic system charges the batteries.

With our commitment to climate protection and sustainable business, we support the goals of the Paris Climate Protection Agreement. We also offer our employees the option of electric company bicycles in order to promote climate-friendly mobility not only on the road, but also in their minds.

Our approach for more renewable energy

Renewable energies are the future of energy supply. They are environmentally friendly, climate-friendly and inexhaustible. But how can we optimally use and store them? This is one of the great challenges of our time.

We are convinced that we have a responsibility as a company to reduce our ecological footprint and make a contribution to climate protection. An important component of our approach is the use of solar energy. We have therefore set ourselves the goal of significantly increasing our own electricity generation. When possible and where it makes sense, we invest in our own energy generation systems, for example combined heat and power plants or photovoltaic systems.

We also use local heat from renewable and local raw materials such as wood, which burns in a climate-neutral manner. This is how we design our energy supply ecologically and regionally.

We believe in the power of innovation and the vision of a green future. We invite you to join us on our journey.

Waste management & recycling

Waste management is more than just sorting waste. It is an important part of environmental protection and sustainability. We not only want to save costs, but also conserve resources and minimise our environmental impact. That's why we have introduced a waste management or recycling container system.

We are pursuing the following goals:

Avoiding waste:

We analyse our processes and products to reduce or avoid unnecessary waste. We rely on durable and repairable materials and devices. We use digital solutions to reduce paper consumption.

Separating and storing waste:

We ensure that our waste is recorded and classified correctly according to the waste code. We organise safe and hygienic storage of our waste in suitable containers.

Recycle waste:

We separate our recyclable waste such as paper, glass, plastics or metals according to the Green Dot system. We work with certified waste disposal companies who can process these recyclable materials and return them to the cycle. We also use internal recycling options such as reusing packaging materials.

Verification management:

We document our waste quantities and types as well as our disposal routes completely and transparently. We provide all necessary documents for authorities or auditors.

We regularly inform and motivate our employees about our waste management system and about waste-conscious behaviour at work. To do this, we use various instruments such as the intranet, our information boards or information events.

Sustainable product packaging

We attach great importance to sustainability and environmental protection. That's why we decided to package our products as sustainably as possible.

# What is sustainable packaging?

ESustainable packaging is packaging that is made from renewable or recycled materials, that uses as few resources as possible and that can be recycled at the end of its life cycle. Sustainable packaging does not contain any environmentally harmful ingredients but is still robust and durable and can be recycled better than classic packaging material.

# How do we package our products sustainably?

We use different types of sustainable packaging for our products, depending on what suits them best. We use paper fibres or corrugated cardboard made from recycled wastepaper for our transport and protective packaging. These packaging are stable, shockproof and light. They can also be finished with an embossed nub pattern that provides additional padding.

Resource efficiency in the workplace

Resource efficiency means that we use the natural resources we need for our products and services as economically and carefully as possible. This helps us not only contribute to environmental and climate protection, but also to our own competitiveness and sustainability.

We have set ourselves the goal of continually improving our resource efficiency. To this end, we have taken various measures at both a technical and organisational level:

We have optimised our production processes to reduce energy consumption and material waste. We have improved our waste management to recycle or reuse more recyclables. We have adapted our procurement policy to use more sustainable and certified products. We have encouraged employees to champion resource-conscious behaviour in the workplace.

We have already achieved some success with these measures. We are proud of this, but we do not want to rest on our laurels. We know that there is still a lot of potential to further increase our resource efficiency. That's why we will continue to regularly analyse our resource consumption, define new goals and develop innovative solutions in the future.

We invite you to join us on this journey and give us your suggestions and feedback. Because only together can we make a positive difference – for our company, for our customers and for our planet.

Sustainability in supply chains

A sustainable supply chain not only takes into account the business goals of a company, but also the impact on people and the environment. This includes, among other things, that no human rights violations such as forced or child labour are tolerated, that fair working conditions and wages are guaranteed, that environmental protection measures are taken and that resources are used efficiently.

#How do we implement a sustainable supply chain?

In order to establish and continuously improve a sustainable supply chain, we have implemented the following measures: We have carried out a risk analysis for our company to identify potential threats to human rights and the environment. We have introduced a code of conduct for our suppliers that contains clear sustainability requirements. These include, among other things, the ban on child labour and forced labour, the right to freedom of association and collective bargaining, the protection of health and safety at work, the protection of the environment and climate and fighting corruption.

We are responsible for sustainability and human rights in our supply chains and have therefore taken and implemented appropriate measures with our suppliers.
